FAQ
Deck service questions
What deck services do you offer?
New custom decks, composite/Trex installation, deck repair, full deck replacement, and covered decks/patio covers — all with one licensed local crew, from design through permit and final inspection.
Do you build new decks and repair existing ones?
Yes, both. Many companies only chase big new builds; we also handle rot, railing and structural repairs, which is how a lot of homeowners first find us.
Which service is right for me — repair or replacement?
If the damage is limited to boards or railings, a repair is the smart spend. If footings, ledger or framing are failing, replacement is safer and often cheaper long-term. We give you an honest recommendation.
Do you do the design too, or just the building?
We handle design and layout, help you choose materials and railing, and produce what's needed for the permit — you don't need to hire a separate designer.
What decking materials can I choose from?
Pressure-treated wood, cedar, and composite/Trex, plus composite, aluminum, cable and glass railing systems. We match the material to your budget and home.
Do you handle permits for every service?
Yes, whenever a permit is required. We prepare the submittal and schedule inspections through your city or Clark County — it's part of the job.
Do you install Trex specifically?
Yes — we build with Trex (Enhance and Transcend lines) and other leading composite brands to manufacturer spec so the warranty stays intact.
Can you build covered decks and patio covers?
Yes. Covered decks, attached and free-standing patio covers, and outdoor living structures — the upgrade that makes a deck usable through the PNW rainy season.
Do you build on sloped or hillside lots?
Yes, and it's a specialty. Sloped lots in Camas, Washougal and Felida need engineered footings and framing, which we design for the grade.
How much do your services cost?
Decks typically run $18–$35/sq ft for pressure-treated, $25–$45 for cedar, and $28–$65/sq ft installed for composite. See our Deck Cost Guide for details, then get a same-day range.
Are you licensed, bonded and insured for all this work?
Yes — licensed, bonded and insured in Washington, building to Clark County code on every project. We're glad to share our credentials.
Do you offer free estimates on every service?
Yes. Quotes are always free. Tell us the service and your town through the form and we'll respond the same day.
How long does each type of project take?
Repairs are often one to two days; new builds and replacements run one to three weeks on-site; covered structures take a bit longer. We give a firm schedule with the quote.
Do you build multi-level or wrap-around decks?
Yes — multi-level, wrap-around, elevated and curved decks are all within our custom work, engineered and permitted to code.
Can you add lighting, benches, pergolas or privacy screens?
Yes. Built-in seating, planters, deck lighting, pergolas and privacy screens are popular add-ons we design into custom decks and covers.
What areas do these services cover?
All of Clark County, WA — Vancouver, Camas, Washougal, Ridgefield, Battle Ground, La Center, Hazel Dell, Salmon Creek, Brush Prairie, Felida and nearby.
Do you offer a warranty on all services?
Yes — a written workmanship warranty for as long as you own your home (the No-Ghost Guarantee), plus manufacturer warranties on composite materials.
Can you convert my old wood deck to composite?
Yes. A repair, re-deck or full replacement is the perfect time to switch to low-maintenance composite and end the sealing chore for good.
Do you work with new-construction homes?
Yes — many new homes in Ridgefield and east Vancouver come with no deck or a builder-grade one, and we're a common first-deck choice for those owners.
How do I choose and book a service?
